Can I tell you how excited I was to get my mail yesterday?! I answered the door no bra and all to collect my goods!
A few weeks ago I entered a contest from Fossil and was SHOCKED to learn I had won! I never win! Check out this beautiful bag…I can’t wait to rock out some outfits with it!I love the key detail and the color is perfect for my fall clothes and boots.
I tried to share my excitement with the men/boys I live with and they were not catching the feeling. Instead they wanted to know what the key was for? That’s the only bad part about a house full of boys no one gets excited for shoes and purses, except me.
After the excitement had died down and I stopped wearing it around my living room…please tell me you do this too when you get something new? I whipped up some dinner along with some bread knots. I love bread knots my mom used to make them religiously for my entire swim team all through high school. And when I’m feeling a little nostalgic, I’ll make up a batch.
These are super easy since I use a short cut 😉 Buy the frozen bread dough thaw it out let it rise then with a pizza cutter divide into 12 equal strips. Roll, knot put on a flat pan bake at 350 degrees for around 10 minutes. While they are baking mix 2 tablespoons melted butter, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt. As soon as the rolls are done cooking dress them with the butter mixture then sprinkle with parmesan cheese. I believe they taste best warm.
My workout was a 5 mile run that for what ever reason I banged out in 47 minutes. For me that’s a great time! Apparently giving my body 3 full days of rest was just what it needed. I also hit the lateral row machine. My husband and I were chatting about the fact that I want to get more out of my weight workout especially toning up my back. So we came up with a plan that I tried for the first time last night and based on the burn today I believe it worked.
I’ve been doing 3 sets of 10 at 55lbs. To which my husband exploded with laughter and asked WHY? Apparently my answer of it seemed like the right thing to do wasn’t acceptable. So we shook it up! Instead last night I started at 75lbs and did as many as I could (he wanted 20) I got to 18. Then I took a solid 1 minute break of rest then completed the same set (75lbs 18 reps). Another 1 minute rest followed by dropping to 55 lbs and completing as many as I could which was 28. I’m sore today so I’m going to call it a success. **disclaimer I’m not a doctor or a healthcare professional please consult with a professional before trying a new workout.**
After all of this I did my #plankaday which was a short 1 minute 6 seconds.
