Yesterday was a glorious day of nothing….well as close to nothing as a mom can get. I still had to cook, clean and manage the children/puppy but nothing extra no workouts, no plans, no trips.
After going 100 MPH for the past 8 weeks it was time for a day of rest. With my husbands crazy work schedule and my son’s birthday parties (3), my work projects, new business projects, writing projects, recipe contests, Fitbloggin’ presentations, P90X classes, training for the Boilermaker, rearing children, the new puppy and the new job opportunity. There has been A LOT keeping my attention lately.
I’ll get to all of those in more detail in another post soon I promise. I’ve hinted that there has been a lot going on behind the scenes of Bendiful and all the excitement has left me a bit drained.
So yesterday I did absolutely nothing.
Never underestimate the power of a successful nap and a rested calm, clear mind.
Our entire family called it a day at 8pm. I woke up this morning feeling energized and ready to go at 6am. It’s just barely noon and my to-do list is half done!
A pure rest day was just what the doctor ordered. It was glorious!!
