I’m all over the place today. First let me say to each and every one of you thank you for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers you sent our way yesterday! They were cherished and needed as the surgery lasted for a few more hours than expected. And if you’ve ever had a loved one go in for surgery you know the wait is the worst part. The doctors, nurses and staff were amazing but 5 hours of worry is a lot of space to fill.
I’m happy to report R’s surgery went really well and I never knew that 12 little teeth could make me cry. Granted it took much longer than expected but they are beautiful, and his first reaction on seeing them was the sweetest thing ever…he said “I can’t wait to smile and show them to everyone!” Heart meeellllttttt!
I know I’ve never really opened up here about it. I feel like I’m vague-booking, maybe vague-blogging but I’m not sure that I have really ever dealt with my feelings about it as a parent. There are days when I am super tough super mom, there are days when I’m overcome with worry and days when I still act like a child and want answers to questions like “Why my little guy?” “why me?” “why my family?” I talked a little bit about it here. But other than that I’m not quite ready yet to share it all, plus I’m not 100% sure it’s my story to tell. I am raising one very sweet little boy who might want the story to be entirely his one day. And I need to respect that.
So thank you again for all your wonderfulness, it means so much to our entire family
This week was filled up with Squats and Push ups as well. In honor of my sons surgery and my anxiety leading up to it I hosted on Tuesday the #Squatfor8 challenge. And my legs are still screaming at me about it. holy burn by minute 6 it was apparent we will have to do this challenge again soon! Thank you again to all who squatted along with me!
And it’s never too late to give it a go on any day you choose!
In other news I am up to week 3 in the 100 push up app! Making some progress, I should take some before photos for the after when the session is complete! They seem to be getting easier which is huge plus! Yesterday called for 30 push ups, I still had to girly style a few of them but not as many as I thought I would! Score!
I haven’t been the greatest eater this week for some very obvious reasons…But I was VERY excited to find Chobani Bites in my grocery store this week! And tomorrow I will share with you the most awesome pizza I have ever created. No really it might be the best pizza ever in my opinion 😉
For the rest of the day I’m going to cuddle and relax with my very brave little guy.
Question of the day: What is your favorite way to unwind and relax?
