First up, if you are what you eat then I am quickly turning into Sriracha!
And yesterday I came across this:
I feel like this could be my perfect Halloween costume! I’m just afraid some people unfamiliar with the brand will think I’m encouraging cock-fighting? Irrational fear? Maybe. But I’m not pulling any punches. I truly have no idea what is written in the non-English words on the on the bottom of this shirt.
This weekend has been jam packed with athletic activities and sporting events. Kicking off Saturday I filled in for a Zumba Tone class…let’s be honest I know NOTHING about Zumba and explained to the class that I was more or less breaking out a toning class for them. I even rocked some BIG hair for the event. Also note my NEON shirt…nothing says Zumba to me more than bright colors!
After class we rushed around for some kids activities and sports which concluded with everyone in my house passing out on the couch by 9pm. But not before finally seeing “Now You See Me”. Have you seen this? I’m about 3 months late to the party but, it was soooo good! I was excited to read that there are plans for a sequel!
This morning we started the day with our last soccer games of the season followed quickly by a trip to the pumpkin patch.
B insisted I take his picture with the big Ram, he wanted to bring it home.
Each of us selected our own pumpkin. And RATHER large pumpkins seemed to be our favorites this year. I grabbed a few acorn squash as well. I was REALLY hoping to find some killer pricing on spaghetti squash but there was none.
This was the world’s fastest trip to the pumpkin patch we were in and out in under 20 minutes. I didn’t even get our usual family shot. Booo but at least my house is beginning to look like fall.
Today was a MUST cook day for some chicken drum sticks I had bought earlier in the week. And I knew ahead of time it was going to be a crazy busy day so I busted out the crock pot. There wasn’t really a recipe for this I just added a bunch of things to the pot and let it cook for 5 hours. I added the drum sticks some ginger, chopped onions, 1/2 cup of chicken broth and some soy sauce. It turned out pretty tasty! Sadly the Soy sauce BUSTED my whole30 rules but I’m calling it a minor slip and moving on.
I had planned to go to Yoga this AM but the timing wasn’t working out so I ended up taking a jog around the neighborhood instead. I got a little wet but was happy there wasn’t a full downpour while I was out. The joy of fall running the weather changes FAST!
The season of Halloween is upon us and this ecard made me laugh out loud:
Question of the Day: How was your weekend?
