I’m looking forward to this weekend as a much-needed break! I know I’ve been hinting about some changes and this weekend I plan to finalize my plans and share with all of you what I decide.
On a super bright note. TODAY is NATIONAL WINE DAY!
I love wine! I think the problem started when I discovered that I could buy wine online and have it shipped to my house. The FedEx man actually asked once If I wanted him to just sign Dr. Benda (full disclosure: I am not a Dr.) on the delivery confirmation slip! Opps do I order that much that he knows what it is?? He also said he plans his delivery around us to be sure we are home when he tries to deliver. That would explain why he’s often following me into my driveway on my way home from work!
Wine in moderation is part of healthy living pairing a fabulous glass of wine with the right meal makes the evenings dinner 200X better in my opinion.
Today I’m sharing with you some of my favorite wines! Now I’m not a connoisseur by any means but I do live an area of growing wine production.
I’ve been known to try out some different vineyards! In full disclosure I am recieving no compensations from any of these wineries these are just some of my favorite I want to share with you. If you click on the wine photos you will be linked to the vineyards site. Be sure to try them out for yourself as every persons taste is different.
Glenora Wine Cellars Riesling:
It’s crisp and refreshing! I went on a wine tour maybe 6 or 7 years ago and feel for this wine. This is a staple in my house!
Anyela’s Vineyard Cuvee Blanc:
This wine has a really nice mix of lemon and apple flavors. So yummy with light chicken dinners.
Yellow Tail Shiraz:
I love this wine and my husband is a big fan too! It’s very earthy and dark. I’m a white wine drinker for the most part but I make exceptions.
Amayna Chardonnay Leyda Valley:
It’s almost creamy feeling to drink this wine, its so good. I bought 5 bottles of it last year through lot 18 on whim and loved it. It’s a very fresh pear taste with an oak overtone.
Tugg Hill Vineyards 43 Lat White:
This is a newer vineyard and I haven’t had a chance to sample all the flavors they offer. (I should do that soon!) But I did really like this wine. White wines with citrus blends I’m discovering hold a warm spot in my heart.
Cupcake Vineyeards: Chardonnay
Yummmm for dessert wines. I had my reservations about this wine when I purchased it but the packaging was so cute how could I say no! Again it’s a super crisp not to oaky blend of heaven.
Dr. Frank Pinot Noir:
It’s dark and it’s lovely. Rich and full of flavor this wine is amazing. If you like a deep red make sure you add this to your must try list.
All of these wines can be purchased for less than $20, and if you live in some states you can have it shipped to your door! While I do love to drink wine I find most of my favorites fall in the under $20 a bottle catergory.
The weekend is packed with exciting adventures and BBQ’s! I’m going to be trying out some new dishes and a new workout I’ll be sharing with you!
I hope you all have a safe, relaxing and happy Memorial Day Weekend!
