It’s funny how in our lives we all go through circles. Some are wide open for years while others come together quickly and easily. Before I go all Lion King Circle of Life on you…this week one stage of my life I left MANY years ago is coming back!
Ah to be 17 again. Ok NO you couldn’t pay me any amount of money to go back and relive those years. Maybe if I got to keep all that I know now and go back I might consider reliving those years? But honestly what fun would it be knowing the future? The great part about life is you never know the outcome. Every step, every minute, every movement the possibilities are endless and the outcomes are unknown.
Back then I was a swimmer, I spent a lot of time in chlorine and loved every second of it. I was a lifeguard, I taught swimming lessons, aqua aerobics and anything that happened near water I was game for. Those were the days, heck maybe I would go back just so I could fully enjoy someone else cooking my food and cleaning the house I live in 😉 Thanks Mom, I do miss those days!
Then I moved on. In college I still taught and was a lifeguard because…well why not? But once my feet hit the working world all of that was left behind. I still love the pool and even got a little nostalgic last summer with some Aqua Aerobics Workouts.
The earlier this year I got my boots rocked by a bad gym experience and fell head over heels back in love with my local Y. I got to know the staff and the instructors in a way I never thought I would. They have become my little fitness family! Little did I know at the time that all those moves that seemed HORRIBLE at the time would turn out to be an amazing opportunity to get back to the place and things I love. Ah the Universe DOES KNOW!
For the past few weeks I have been shadowing Aqua Aerobics classes and instructors to get back into teaching Sqqqquuuueeeeeeeeel! I have been DYING to tell you all, I’m so excited!
I teach my first class this week and have been busy getting everything ready! Freshening up my moves and trying to remember things I knew almost 15 years ago.
As someone who has gotten used to being in the class NOT an instructor, let me tell you 15 people staring at you waiting for instruction is a strange feeling at first! I’m so excited about this next phase in my fitness journey and the fact that this seems to bring my old life and new life together full circle!
Super MASSIVE HUGS and digital thank yous to the YMCA for giving me this opportunity to share my love of fitness with others! I’m so honored to be part of your team.
It’s also a wonderful lesson in trusting the unknown. Back in April it just seemed like a bad week and yet it turned out to be a new life adventure! And just like that my life has come full circle!
Every step, every minute, every movement the possibilities are endless and the outcomes are unknown.
Question of the Day: No question just share with me some awesome news from your universe!
