It’s been a busy one! We even kicked off the weekend a day early. Choosing to hit up Enchanted Forest Water Safari on Friday rather than waiting till Saturday. It was definitely the right choice, the weather was warmer and going on a Friday saved us from the crazy crowds on the weekend. Although I’ve been told Tuesdays are the best days to go, short lines and plenty of chairs? I’ll let you decide for yourselves. 😉
We arrived early, got settled and took in MANY to ridiculous amounts of water rides before the park filled up. I’m pretty sure we raced as a collective 6 to make it down the Cascade River as many times as possible as quickly as possible. I wish I had more pictures but I was so scared of getting bumped into and dropping my camera. Plus the little guy was mine to keep track of since he was too little for some of the larger ride the rest of our group wanted to attempt. We often found ourselves
bumping into random strangers sunbathing in the lazy river, not a camera friendly area. We took our two younger nephews with us as well. Just in case you have been trying to figure out how our family of 4 could equal 6.
We had a blast! I think the kids did too since the entire ride home was filled with snoring in unison 😉
I love this park. I came here every summer with my family so it’s even more fun to me now as an adult to see how my children react to seeing the different slides, rides and attractions. If you are planning a trip with your family I would highly suggest taking the train ride as well as the kiddie water park for those with little little ones.
This was my sons I wanted to go on the round-up but I’m too short face…you’re riding the merry-go-round now son! Love him!
After a busy Friday we spent Saturday morning sleeping in. And by sleeping in I mean my youngest didn’t wake me up until 6:25 AM. Of course he woke up begging to go back to the water park. We decided that another trip up with just the 4 of us is in order before the boys head back to school in the fall.
We were all still pretty beat from travelling I was straight up lazy. I have no idea how people who travel regularly for work do it? It must be a pattern you get used to and I am completely out of practice. I did manage to get a run in but that was only because I had to try out my new running skirt I found for a deal at Marshal’s! It was too girly and frilly to say no too.
Verdict: I love it! I have two running skirts now, but this one is my favorite. Plus it can double for a really cute summer skirt. Mint is my color right now.
Saturday was also my sister in laws birthday! Happy Birthday KIM! I didn’t take a single photo at the party…whomp whomp. But we had a blast wishing her an anniversary of her 25th birthday
Today I’m hoping for a relaxing yoga session and a great episode of True Blood. If you haven’t been watching this season is actually one of the best in a while. Last season lost me and I honestly stopped watching and just caught up with all the episodes on demand one rainy Sunday. This year I’m all in and can’t miss a Sunday episode.
In case you missed it…. I chose a winner in my grab bag giveaway! CONGRATULATIONS TO SAMANTHA from Running and Cupcakes on the win!
