Ok that title might be a little bit over board but this has been my new favorite jammin’ workout of late. Sometimes I just need a good solid bring it all out workout and for me HIIT’s are it. HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training.
And trust me it delivers! Your heart rate is pumping, sweat is dripping and fat will be crying with one of these workouts. The key is to give the work portion of the workout EVERYTHING you have (with good form of course.)
Break out of your comfort zone and push it to the limits. These types of workouts are designed to push you into quick burst of work with little bits of rest for improved fat burning.
I like to alternate between exercises it makes the time go by faster. If you’re wondering… how slow :20 can go? Try this workout!
This workout is designed to target body areas while giving an overall full body conditioning. Always begin with at least 5 minutes of a warm up, with this level of workout you NEED to be sure your body is warm before you start maximum intensity work.
Take a good break in between each body area, I usually shoot for 2 minutes.
Be sure you are reaching a level where it’s difficult to speak during each set, if you aren’t tired and can talk regularly…you need to up your level.
I used this workout in a class I subbed this week, I like giving people levels for each more. Each movement can be broken down for less and more intensity. Push ups…move them to the knees. Burpees add in a pushup too.
**Remember I’m not a doctor and I’ve never played one on TV, so be sure to consult with a physician before beginning a new workout routine…while I am a group trainer, I’m not your trainer, check with your doctor.**
I’m linking up with the ladies at The Wild Workout Wednesday Round up, check them out for more awesome heart pumping workouts that are quick and pin-able.
Question of the Day: To HIIT or not to HIIT? Which is worse Squats or Lunges?
