I CAN NOT Believe it’s AUGUST already? Summer don’t leave me!
Let’s begin with a horrible re-cap of last months goals:
- Run 60 miles
- Sub 30 minute 5k
- Lift 2X’s per week with the Hub
- Work more with my new camera
Hummm as I look back at these goals I seem to be creating a bad pattern of great goals and no follow through.
Goal#1 RUN 60 Miles. Meah I ran 40 which is close to the goal but not really what I wanted. Although looking through my activities, I’m noticing I really upped my game in other activities. In July I went to group classes, spin classes and was trying out my own cross fit workouts. So although I didn’t clock 60 miles I’m not going to beat myself up for getting in 40. Following my new mantra of “live more and worry less”.
Goal#2 Run a Sub 30 5k. I have no idea about this one since I didn’t run a 5k race in July…I’ll move that to August 😉
Goal #3 Lift 2X’s per week with the Husband. I accomplished this goals sans the husband. He’s been a busy guy this month. So let’s say I half accomplished this goal.

Goal #5 work more with my new camera…CHECK. I love this new camera and I hope you my fabulous readers are enjoying the much improved photos!
If I was going to play teacher and give myself a grade for July, I wouldn’t be making it on the fridge. I’m about a 2.5 out of 5. Ouch.
I’ve been working on some new business goals for my freelancing and concentrating on other job goals. So while I wasn’t amazing in July, August is looking like a pretty awesome month! I am still participating in the Best Body Bootcamp which is kickin’ my tail. In a good way!
On the books:
- My FIRST Warrior Dash
- The Healthy Living Summit
- A Pre-wedding bash for some friends
- Enchanted Forrest Family Trip
- My big guy’s first day on the school bus
