Storage Success!

Today my mission was simple. My husband was home we had no plans and one crazy dirty house. I find in the summer when we are all outside more and running in 100 different directions my house is always the one place that falls apart! Today was home makeover time!

My home “office” has been outgrowing its space since the day it was put in. I have so many files and printers, the clutter has been getting close to sending me into a home. Add to that the toys and huge extra couch that have all found their way into the space it was getting crowed.

The makeover started out early…if you have children you know you can’t get rid of them when they are around! Like stealth undercover agents we made our way into the mess. We came out with 4 boxes of donations for children under the age of 2, along with 4 bags of outgrown clothing! The Rescue Mission was excited for the loot and we were excited for the newly gained space.

Up next that couch…our first purchase together as a couple many, MANY years ago. It was time to say goodbye to an old friend. That couch has lived in every home we have share together. Luckily it was a sectional so we just said goodbye to half of it
I put out a request on Facebook for storage solutions and while everyone gave me some great ideas! I ended up finding this beautiful piece at Big Lots! Although it doesn’t match all my black current office things I really like the style of it. I could be totally wrong but I think it’s called Mission?

So now here is what the office looks like…. please note this is not the final look it’s just the oh hey look at this now look

So my workout was basically cleaning my house for hours on end and moving furniture around. More of a life workout than anything! We’ll call it my labor on labor day!
