I feel like this week was the week that just wouldn’t end. After dealing with super storm Stella and shoveling out for days the week seemed to just drag on forever.
It could also be because we packed more friend fun activity into one weekend than we have in about 6 months. Oh little boy hockey I don’t miss you taking up all of my weekends. Friday night we celebrated all things Irish with friends and Saturday we took a nice relaxing trip around town, visited friends from out-of-town and then decided to hit up Finger Lakes on Tap for some beer sampling.
I also discovered I’m NOT a fan of sour beer while Troy is. Ewww. This was my flight of Wheat beers all of which were delicious.
Write this down after months of being a stranger I finally made it back to Symmetry for a P90X class. It was fantastic, total butt kick and cardio crush. It really made me want to get back on the P90 train. It’s probably time to get on a focused plan. But didn’t you just join a new program you ask… haha that my friends is a story for another post.
The weekend also brought the fun and delicious goodness of girl scout cookies…I don’t understand myself sometimes. I HATE COCONUT yet these cookies are my favorite…how does that make sense?
My husband’s new job sort of takes him all over new to him deli’s and things in the city so of course this weekend we had to take a trip to one of his new favorite spots in the Hawley Green section of Syracuse. Thanos’ Import Market is fantastic you can’t go wrong with olive juice, aged provolone and capicola sandwiches. I will give this place a recommendation it was the first time I’ve been and it was worth the trip.
Speaking of foods that I’m enjoying from downtown, my yoga studio has started selling Original Grain overnight oats:
I highly recommend the sweet potato flavor and I’m still trying to figure out what makes theirs taste to darn good! My never have that great of a flavor when I make savory rather than sweet version. Kudos to OG.
I’m just now noticing apparently I just ate and drank my way through the weekend…here’s to balance. I hope you had an awesome weekend as well.
Question of the Day: How was your weekend?
