Today I’m talking running! After this stressful week I have been finding lots of relief in my runs. There is nothing that banging out some miles can’t solve. Running for me is a stress reliever. It’s MY time that I get to sort through my thoughts and feelings. Sometime I’m panting to hard to hear those thoughts, but it isn’t a perfect world.
Granted I’m not the world’s fastest runner. I’m not breaking land speed records nor am I training for an Ironman. For me clocking 20 miles in a week is not a common occurrence anymore. Before my second child was born 20 miles in a week was child’s play. If I went for a run it wasn’t for less than 5 miles…now I’m good in the 3-5 mile clips.
Yesterday I broke up my run with one of my favorite treadmill workouts which I have included for you. Running all on one speed on the treadmill annoys me I need action!
I’m also hitting my foam roller after this weeks increased miles. Shesh my muscles need it! The #2 move for me is ALWAYS the most painful at first but really seems to stretch out my tired legs. I haven’t had my foam roller very long but I have to say it’s one of my new favorite in “workout gear”.
An update on my brother! He is now being seen by another doctor who is a brain injury specialist. We are hopeful the news he has to share with us will be positive. He’s been catching up on rest now that he has been ok-ed for pain meds and seems to be in better spirits. Sending you much love MATTHEW.
It’s a beautiful Friday here in Central New York and I intend to enjoy every second of it outside.
Catch ya later!
