Last night we had a blast at our friends Tom & Amanda’s house! It was nice to get to catch up with them. Even though they live right around the corner our summers have been getting out of hand crazy so we don’t see them as often as we should. The boys had a blast while my youngest regaled us with his own created stories of Vampires, and Carlos.
As far as we could tell Carlos was a farm hand who possessed uncanny vampire hunting skills. I’m impressed my six-year-old has some crazy imagination!
This morning we ventured early to the CNY Regional Market. I’ve been planning a trip for months but kept putting it off for other events. This morning the whole family woke up early making it a good day to travel.
We arrived a little bit later than I wanted to but the place was still buzzing with shoppers and tables of yummy goods!
I love the colors of all natures goodness together! Sorry grocery store you can’t compete with this mecca!
I so badly wanted to get some fresh fish but we had plans right after and hot fish sitting in a car is not ideal for eating.
There were sweet treats galore.
My personal favorite find was my hometown favorite Croghan Bologna! Made fresh daily at the Croghan Meat Market where I grew up. It’s one thing I often miss and my kids love. Grandma and Grandpa’s house ALWAYS has it in stock, so they get their fill when we go there. I also was shocked to learn to you can now buy it from their website!
My haul was a little weak but it looks perfect and delicious to me! I feel like many more trips need to be in order ASAP! Nothing tastes better than fresh. I’m also proud I managed to skip the all the sweet treats!
Today’s workout will be an afternoon run and research for some new moves for my classes this week!
Question of the Day: What’s your favorite food to buy fresh?
