This week celebrated World Kindness Day! I’m a big believer in the world of karma and paying it forward. This little obscure holiday is a great way to remind people, that being kind is never out of style.
I posted a few snipits about the holiday on social media and was blown away when my favorite Salon in town reached out to me! Kim Baker who is an amazing woman and the owner of Bijou Salon reached out and wanted to reward my kindness with some of her own! I was humbled and extremely grateful for her kind words and offer of a pedicure for my tired feet, as her way of paying forward the kindness.
Yesterday I was lucky enough to take advantage of my act of kindness pedicure! So relaxing.
I was greeted by a handful of smiling faces and then to Kara Cuff Slayton my stylist. She was adorable and did a great job. It was funny we talked about kids, husbands, workouts, whole 30 and paleo! If you have any interest in those items Kara is your girl. She was easy to talk to and made the whole experience divine. Kara works Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-5pm schedule your appointment with her today!
I struggled to pick out a color. It’s fall but I wanted SUMMER so of course I went with a hot pink!
A girl can dream about one more 90 degree day can’t she? It was a big change since I was currently rocking a black polish!
Fresh and pretty in pink. It’s crazy but a simple pedicure can make you feel like a new person!
I want to thank Kim and Kara for the amazing act of kindness they shared with me yesterday! It really was an unexpected and fantastic treat that made my entire week!
For my 30th birthday I celebrated with a day FULL of random acts of kindness. And I’m always trying to think of new ways to give back for all the blessings my family has received over the years.
So in the spirit of paying it forward I went ahead and bought a gift certificate for a pedicure at Bijou Salon to giveaway here on the blog! My own way of paying it forward. ONE lucky reader will be selected on Sunday to receive a pedicure on ME!
