Remember when Owling became cool? And you would see people with photos of themselves all perched up in a random location looking like an owl? Oh you don’t remember that? That’s because I’m not sure it was ever “cool” persay but it happened just like hammer pants.
Prior though to the coolness of Owling…Planking was popular. I’m happy to report that I am bringing back planking but not the lay down and look dead for a picture kind. The Oh hey let’s do a plank every day kind of planking! And so far so good! Want to join me? Everyday you do a plank and try to beat your time from the day before. It’s called #plankaday look for it on twitter… it’s very inspiring!
Today was my 3rd day competing with myself!
Day One Time: 52
Day Two Time 1:13
Day Three Time:
Although these aren’t really Earth shattering times, I’m impressed I can even hold them this long. In one of my classes there is a man who can regularly hold them for 5 minutes! I’m jealous and hope by the end of the month to at least we able to hold a plank for 2-3 minutes.
Today is my rest day so this plank was about as close as I got to breaking a sweat. My extra hour was spent catching up on Revenge on the DVR ( I love this show!) and planning my grocery shopping trip! I live life on the edge 😉
I also spent quite a few hours at the hockey rink watching my nephew’s team win their tournament! Congrats guys…not the best photo but I didn’t want to get on the ice.
It’s crazy how fast time goes by…I remembering going to his games when he was about 6 years old and thought of look how cute they are! Today I was holy crap these boys are like man boys now what happened to those little boys I used to watch?
Then again I used to go to those games with my then boyfriend. Before marriage and two kids so I guess time has been moving for us all.
Talk to me….how did you spend your “extra hour”? And admit it have you ever owled? How long can you plank?
