It’s my own fault and I have No one to blame but myself….my planned day of healthy eating has gone right out the window! I only have one more day of work at my current job! ( yes it’s really happening!) Today one of my co-workers brought me in some of my favorite treats for my departure and I may be going overboard on eating them! I have NO self-control.
Chocolate and Peanut Butter gets me every time! I can’t resist it, they just arrive in my mouth A little decadence to enjoy my last full day in the 9-5 crowd I think is acceptable.
Last night I had a wonderful evening with My mother-in-law and Aunt Sue. We saw Kiss Me, Kate at a local theater in town! It was a great show with a great cast.
Local readers if you live in the area check it out! They also were talking about a new program they started called The Pitch….not the AMC show! Instead you get to see a not yet Broadway play and give feedback on it to producers and writers before it could become the next Cats, Wicked or Rent. I really want to try one out this summer. The best part…. only $20 a ticket! As a musical geek I can’t wait to attend one of these.
Unfortunately a late night at the theater means less sleep and now I’m craving carbs like no ones business. Sleep is the one part of my healthy living quest I struggle with the most. How hard is it really to get 8 hours?! Impossible for me!
For tonight’s workout I’m planning my neighborhood run it’s about 3.5 miles of fun! The sun is shinning and I need to get out and enjoy it. The strangest part of my day is realizing I need to completely clean out my desk by the end of the day. I mean I’ve been slowly taking things home but now it’s final.
Since my only jobs before this one were in sales they basically escort you out the door the second you give your two weeks, it’s odd to be cleaning out my desk at all. Plus I’m a weirdo in that I like my own stuff. My stapler is my own, my three-hole punch is mine, my calculator is mine. I really never used any of the supplies that were given to me on my first day. Creature of habit that I am, I brought it my own.
Weird right? Also I can’t get enough of these Sunsweet Dried Plums. They are sweet and chewy, a perfect afternoon snack. Love them!
Not only has my diet gone out the window today but my train of thought seems to be there too. I’m tangent city over here! I hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday…I’m going to collect myself with a nice, hot run!
