This month was my first experience with foodie pen pals! This is a fabulous program set up by The Lean Green Bean, Lindsay
Foodie Pen Pal is an amazing program where bloggers (non-bloggers too) connect and each send to each other some foodie love! And I mean really isn’t food love the best?
I was sent some great stuff from Mellissa in the Mid-West who blogs at A Fit and Spicy Life. She did a great job!
The Edamame Sunshine blend is fabulous I’ve been snacking on it ever since it arrived! But my heart was completely stolen by this juicer gadget! I have wanted a lemon presser forever. I’m always to cheap to buy one for myself though. I do the whole debate in my head when it comes to purchases like this: How often will I really use it? Do I need it today…you know all the really tough questions. I’ve never just said heck let’s try it, I reserve those internal thoughts for shoes
When I opened my foodie pen pal box to find this beauty it was like Christmas in May, A LEMON JUICER!! I have been a juicing machine with this puppy! I think I have added lemon/lime to everything I can think of! If I wasn’t scared to ruin my own mornings I might even try adding some to my morning coffee.
The fact that my shrimp scampi was completely void of lemon seeds was even noticed by my husband (Mellissa he would like to thank you too for this little device). If you have considered one of these little wonders I suggest you pick one up! Once you have one you find ways to use it 😉 It is great for being able to actually measure the amount of lemon juice you are adding to dishes rather than the just eye-ball it method most of us use! The measurement numbers are large and easy to read. it’s a great tool!
I’ve had an eye on those Coconut Macaroons for the past few days so we’ll see how much longer they last. Special and BIG thank yous to Mellissa for all my new foodie options!
