Lazy Sunday

in Food, life

When I  wake up on a Sunday morning to a slight drizzle my first thought is always! YES a lazy Sunday. I ran out in the rain got my paper made myself some coffee and enjoyed the hour of peace before the rest of my house wakes up. I had plans to go to spin class which were nixed by the husband who woke up earlier than normal and offered to take the family out to breakfast! This was not the lazy Sunday I had planned on.

Nom-nom-nom at our favorite dinner I ordered the Western omelette with wheat toast and coffee. Delicious!

I did have the cutest breakfast date in town if I say so myself! That face right there is his eggie eatin’ face. I think he licked this plate clean :)

Of course since I missed my spin class that I was so excited about it was time to figure out a workout for the day. I choose  20 minutes of squats and kettleballs. It wasn’t as great a workout as the spin class would have been but….THE SUN CAME OUT!! Then it got HOT so after playing an hour of soccer with my oldest and cleaning out our entire garage to the pool we went!  The workout then included a few hours worth of swimming and socializing. This seriously wasn’t the lazy Sunday I had planned!

For dinner we were all too pooped and hot to cook so we  hit up Wendy’s. I’ve been seeing commercial for their new salads and was excited to try them.  I choose the half Berry Almond Salad:

I have to say for a fast food salad I was pleasantly surprised it was very fresh! The dressing was a fat-free raspberry vinaigrette. My only wish was there were more strawberries on the salad but I added some of my own to make it the perfect combo for me.

Now let’s see if I can get in some of that lazy Sunday action I was hoping for. The return of my favorite campy dra-medy True Blood is this evening and I’m hoping to enjoy every second of it. I have to admit Alan Ball has done an amazing job with this show. I tried reading the books after the first season of the show and was shocked by how BAD they are! I mean the bones of the series were in the books,  but the character development and plots that arrive in the show are truly all Ball’s creation!

Are any of you True Blood fans? I know it’s campy but I can’t turn away. It’s also hilarious the way Bill says “Soookieeee”.

I gave up on True Blood after the shape shifters came in (3rd season?). I feel like I’m missing out though – my friends are still so addicted!

It did get silly in season 3 but I can’t turn away! I wish I had self control!

I’m not judging. No self control here when it comes to reality tv. :)

I have no control either:) You can judge I’m a proud true blood fan for all it’s craziness!
