I’ve decided that the Klutch box and Glam Bag from Ipsy are my two current favorite monthly box subscriptions. I’ve spent a lot of time “dating” different boxes but for me these two seem to always be just what I like. And if I’m going to pay for samples I would like them to at least be something I would actually use. I’m looking at you Birchbox. Four anti aging creams and Luna bar aren’t really my cup of tea.
The Glam Bag from IPSY has been a great way to get new makeup samples and try out new brands. On their website you begin by filling out a profile of yourself. Your comfort level with makeup and they give you a profile. I have never tweaked my profile because each month they seem to nail it!
This month’s theme is Pretty in Pink- how adorable is that bag?
My bag contained:
- be a bombshell….blush in a sweet cheeks color.
- SEXY HAIR…Healthy Soy Renewal.
- Sation Nail Lacquer made for IPSY in a shade called love at first byte.
- MICA beauty cosmetics shimmer powder.
The Sexy Hair renewal styling treatment was my favorite in this bag. My hair needs some serious TLC right now between the chlorine from the pool and the fact that I’ve been living in ponytails. My strands are absorbing every drop of this oil. And it smells pretty good too!
The be a bombshell blush will be a tester for me I’m not a blush girl. I know that’s a preference thing but now having some to try out I’m looking forward to trying it out.
The nail polish had me frightened based on the in bottle color but on it’s a really nice natural base color. And will be giving my current neutral color a run for its money. I wish my nails looked nicer right now but I promise you don’t want to see my nails right now. I’m in the brittle breaking phase of my nails.
And the MICA shimmer. I live for shimmer so that will be used up fast.
And of course the bag this month is SUPER cute. I’ve been collecting these bags and using them as gift bags for my nieces. But when I fall in love with one I save it for me. This bag is one for me!
If you are interested in signing up IPSY is just $10 a month (plus tax for my New Yorkers), each month you receive great makeup samples, discount offers for purchasing full size products and a cute bag.
KLUTCH Club box is probably my favorite box right now. The variety of products is always what gets me. I have found new dry shampoo, killer ear buds and delicious vitamin D products through them. And this boxes variety was in that same vein. It offers a variety of products from food to fitness to beauty.
This is the March box. Since I’m pretty late in the billing cycle my box doesn’t show until the last day of the month.
This month’s box contains:
- Skinny Pop Popcorn
- Green & Blacks Organic Chocolate
- Seaweed Mud
- Alignedsigns $30 gift card
- Crystal Body deodorant Stick
- Lumosity.com 1 month gift card
- Davidson’s Organic Tea
- Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist
- Corozonas Oatmeal Squares
I’m pretty excited to try Lumosity those commercials get me every time. Yes I want my brain to be smarter, that’s why I play candy crush- duh! I love tea so bring it on. The popcorn my kids housed so I have no idea how good it was. I would image delicious based on the fact in was gone in 3 minutes. 😉
The dark chocolate was heavenly and made for an excellent after dinner snack over a few nights. The Crystal deodorant is aluminum free which i is great for me since I know I won’t break out. But I’m honestly not sure how well it worked. I can’t blame the product though I have some very specific needs when it comes to deodorant. SO much so that I usually just go with the prescription kind or my Degree. Other kinds with smells just break me out.
I haven’t yet tried the seaweed mud or the hydrating mist. I’m still trying to decide if the coconut oil I’m smearing on my face each night is working, I can’t mess with the process. Who knew you get acne more at 30 than 16? Blah!
The Oatmeal square from Corozona were delicious. I can see them making a great breakfast on the go.
Klutch Club recently launched Mom boxes. I’m still just getting the women’s box but I’m thinking of trying out the mom box sometime, since my kids basically pillage the box for snacks every month anyway.
Klutch Club is a pretty fun service if you like to try out new products each month. Box prices vary based on your commitment level but you can sign up here.
Question of the Day: What is your favorite sample company? there are so many of them now!
