Hello July, I’ve been waiting for you! Obviously the first 6 months of this year have been all over for us there were new jobs, promotions, buying a house, selling a house and all the non-sense that comes with those activities! I haven’t been balanced or centered and it was starting to mess with me. July is my fresh start!
A few vacation days at the beginning of a month is a great way to get settled into a new house. There have been a few outdoor activities at the new house that have been nagging at me to get done…
I took the opportunity to get in a workout by hand chopping all the gross weeds along the road sides, nothing like some sweat equity!
It’s a workout AND a home improvement all in one! I also sort of helped my husband install the new basketball backboard. By sort of I mean I took a 2 hour , 4 store, county-wide tour to find a store that carried the right u-bolts for the job. Tractor Supply Store… you’re my hero!
The boys love it, the old backboard was pretty beat up and was completely rotted out so this one should last them till adulthood!
It’s starting to feel like home, my husband and I both laughed that the past two weeks have felt like we were vacationing at someone’s house now it’s starting to feel like ours. I still have no idea how long it will take me to get to places and every walk and run is chance to see something new but soon it will be and feel like home.
I also took the chance to get back together with an old friend:
P90x has always worked wonders for me it’s the perfect combination of strength and cardio that never seems to get old. I bought the full program last month and decided that while I have a ton of gym memberships none of them are working for my schedule right now. In order to get success and get back to myself I needed something I could do at home when my schedule allows it. I can’t control work and I can’t control the class schedules of the gyms I belong to but I can control myself and my mornings so back to Tony Horton I go.
It’s like being with an old friend who’s killing you but still wants what’s best for you. 90 days… I’ve got this. Today was day 1 or as I like to call it push up heaven. Back to grounding and hitting some goals.
I’ve also sort of fallen in love with Juice Plus+ that my sister-in-law turned us onto. I’m so not a supplement person but after my husband raved about the samples, I had to try them for myself. I will admit they have given me back my energy and I don’t feel as foggy during the day when I take them. It was the perfect boost I needed to get back on my game.
I’m looking forward to all the P90X I can handle over the next 90 days. I’m already crazy sore from two days of workouts!
Question of the Day: Tell me your favorite at home workouts?
