Let’s kick this off with a question. And my favorite kind of question, is this normal? Let’s be honest any time a question ends with …is this normal, you know if it going to be one of two things. Hilarious or Awkward, sure sometimes it’s something else but usually the conversation goes one of those ways.
So my question to all you fur baby moms and dads My dog, Bella, likes to lick my legs after runs, is this normal? I’m also providing a photo for reference.
I love my little (for now) lady but the licking I find weird. This photo was taken after my 5 miler last evening. I find it gross but I feel bad pushing her away.
I mean look at that face:
I’m guessing it’s sweaty and salty but seriously I can’t get her lick my legs it creeps me out.
I did manage to complete my 5 miler. I hit up a different route to shake things up.
I love that I live in a beautiful place but also am lucky enough to have access to lots of low traffic roads. It makes running so much more enjoyable. Whenever I run in town I find I’m just annoyed having to stop at intersections and wait for traffic. I find myself planning run routes
for ice cream not for the mileage but for the easiest path with the least amount of intersections, not fun.
It wasn’t an award-winning run but the mileage was booked. I’m still considering signing up for a September half marathon so I would like to try to keep my mileage up, if not even increase it. My goals this year was 13 halfs it was a steep goal and I’m so obviously not going to be able to complete it. I’ve done 2 halfs so far this year. One real and one virtual, then I got lazy!I got sidetracked and fell in love with P90X and classes, letting my distance running fall to the side. I’m not terribly sad about it, I’ve also been nursing my hip a lot this spring/summer and not pushing it when it gave me trouble.
I’m thinking that if I finish two more before the end of the year, I will be ok. The goal of 13 is a massive fail. But that’s not a reason to give up completely. Not all is lost.
I had a great dinner…whole 30 approved and all!
Congratulations to all of you who completed the IRON GIRL Triathalon today! My social media streams have been full of friends, blends and readers who were all crushing their Tri goals some even first timers! Great job to all!
Questions of the day: Seriously is it normal my dog wants to lick my legs after I run? Green Beans are the best vegetables ever yea or nay?
