This weekend we had the fun of blessing my sister and brother in-laws new home in the best way we know how…with beers, BBQ, and shenanigans.
My brother-in-law was pretty proud of his new pong table that we christened. Sadly I was not victorious in any of my game attempts. I blame the 6 year hiatus since having my oldest. I’m really out of practice. Beer Pong is just too much work to drink beers now. These days I just want to open a beer and drink it, no foolery just enjoyment.
We also discovered the world is a REALLY small place! One of the couples who came are related to one of our neighbors and works with one of my bridesmaids from our wedding! Another couple from Rochester knew a bunch of our family and friends. Craziness! That in such a small group we all knew someone.
I was rocking my orange and blue for the Syracuse University Football season opener! Sadly it didn’t help them win, but no worries we celebrated anyway!
I feel like anytime in the past 3 weeks I’ve been out in public I’ve worn this same outfit. I get in ruts with my clothing that go like this…. if it is comfy and it’s clean I’m wearing it! 😉
If orange is the new black, I’m 100% OK to wear this everyday right?
While the adults played in the front the kids were having their own games in the back! Racing cars down a hill? Sounds
dangerous safe to me!
These children should have all slept for 2 days after the amount of trips they made up and down this hill. My oldest in the red shirt was excited because his tractor was “really fast” and helped him win almost every race!
We all had a wonderful time, and I think we broke in the new homestead nicely!
After travelling back home this morning, I decided the best way to get over the housewarming hangover was to sweat it out. I have no idea if it is actually a good idea or not but it always seems to make me feel better.
I didn’t count on the crazy humidity, but it did force me to run a 5k in 28 minutes! I can’t decide if that is sweat or beer coming out of my pores. I have been rehydrating with water since 3pm and I’m still feeling dehydrated!
My bed is currently calling my name, I hope you are having a blast this weekend as well!
Question of the day: Running hung over good idea or no?
