Am-az-ing Day we have in store. Highs in the 80’s!! I can not wait to get my legs out and move them in the sunshine! Good LUCK to all those Boston Marathon runners!
Today I’m talking MUSIC!
Music moves the soul… I’ve also found it moves my feet. One of the hardest parts of workouts is putting together a great playlist.
I have a weird taste in music so finding a song that doesn’t make me want to rip my ears off mid run is difficult.
There have to be others out there like me? Call me crazy but some super popular songs on mainstream radio ( the 3 stations that still exist!) are stale after 2 plays. I know I’m over the 12-25 demo now but I would like to find some songs that don’t make me cringe while listening. There are some classics out there though, Hey Ya for example I will never tire of. And I do have a warm fuzzy place in my heart for Britney.
I should also mention I don’t do the country. I’ve tried but Taylor Swift should consider writing novels rather than cramming 800+ words into a 2 minute song. (right?)
So I have to keep 2 play lists at all times. One Packed with the music for one day and another packed with music for a different day! CRAZY I know but I have to keep the options out there. Some day Katy Perry isn’t making me move the way some Pearl Jam can.
Pop Playlist 2:
Most of these songs are available on itunes, I’m not an advocate of pirating music. Artists work very hard to put their music out to the world! That’s my pay to play plug- want music BUY IT!
What are some songs you are currently working out too?
