Sure the Ombre look is a popular one right now. And I have been naturally rocking it for several months now. What the cool kids call ombre, I was calling check out my roots 😉
After a weekend filled with cleaning out our garage, jacking it up and putting in new beams there was nothing more exciting to me than the quiet air-conditioned heaven of a hair salon. Bijou I love you and all the girls there are fabulous! A little before picture….
I had to laugh while many there, were getting the Ombre look I was getting out of mine. Seriously though is there anything more relaxing than 2 hours of selfish me time? I needed it!
A little after picture…..
Oh new hair you make me feel like a new person. I still have to plan out my spa day. My super husband surprised me with a back massage and I have a gift certificate for a pedicure! But that will have to be another day. Hopefully soon!
Work outs have been a little lacky around here. I’ve been getting in some early morning runs but the humidity has been killing my motivation. It’s a holiday week so I’m letting it slide! Tomorrow is a new week and I’ve got big plans for this week!
We also have been busy hitting up the BBQ circuit! I made one of my favorite quick salads. Easy Orzo (not whole30 approved but fast;))
1 16 oz package of uncooked Orzo
1 10 ounce bag of baby spinach chop finally
6 ounces crumbled feta cheese
1/2 cup red onion
3/4 cups pine nuts
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh basil
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
Make orzo boil 8-10 minutes, drain pasta and place in big bowl toss in all ingredients mix well and refrigerate overnight serve cold.
And then we enjoyed a lovely evening with friends. The boys had a blast even though we had some hiccups on the during evening! With children things never go quite as perfectly as planned.
Today has been a total rest and reload day. I cleaned out my car, cleaned up the yard, cleaned the inside of my house and got planning for the crazy week ahead.
Question of the day: How was your long weekend?
