Happy Monday! Ah the worst part of a fabulous weekend is defiantly Monday morning.
As I’m looking at the calendar today I was shocked to find I’m almost half way through May and I still haven’t posted my monthly goals!
Part of being healthy and living on purpose is being accountable. I’m a list maker! I have crazy lists for all aspects of my life. Career, Family and of course Health. Lists help me be accountable. It isn’t done until it comes off the list!
My goals at this point are simply about making better & happier choices. I do have weight to loose but putting those numbers in front of myself at this point would just discourage me. The pound losses will come and they have been. But other choices need to be a priority first. Diets and fad eating/ or not eating don’t last. Moving your feet and being committed to living happy and healthy will pave the way for long term success.
My Goals for May, some of these I may need to modify since realistically they aren’t going to happen. And some I’ve already accomplished!
The best part of lists is crossing things off!
New Blogging Buddies = DONE! This has been the month for new blogging buddies I have met so many wonderful folks! Many of whom I met at the FitBlogNYC meet and tweet. I’m also doing the #foodiepenpals this month for the first time!
New Class at the Gym or Outside = Half done I’ve tried one. The HIIT workout with my sister-in-law.
60 miles = Eh… I need to get this butt moving. So far I’ve clocked 21 miles which isn’t bad but that still leaves me running an average of 2.6 a day this month to make my goal!
Sub 30min 5k = Work in progress I’m running my first officially timed 5k this Saturday so that will give me an idea of where I am at. I like the pressure of races I always do my best in that setting. Treadmills don’t count here this has to be a road 5k.
3 meals per week = So far so good! I’ve got some new recipes coming up this week to share! I’m on pace to hit this goal by the end of the month.
Digital Camera = Failing miserably I can’t find the camera I want. All my searches have left me realizing I need to figure out the camera I own first! It needs some TLC and tweaking ( it needs some camera love) I think it will work just as well as a new one for a bit longer.
Do you make health goals each month? Do you write them down or just keep them in the back of your mind? What are your Goal for May?
