Bah hum-bug… is it too soon for this? I’m still trying to shake this cold my children so happily brought home from school and infested in my house. It doesn’t seem to be easily scared and is determined to stick around longer than welcome. Hense the Bah Hum-Bug.
I managed to get in my #plankaday but other that there will be no fitness in my future today.
Instead It’s getting GLAM-orous in here. Formerly known as GLAM Bag. Ipsy is this weeks latest trial in the endless journey I’m calling my quest for the perfect monthly subscription box. Ipsy is a monthly service that offer makeup samples based on your profile. According to their site: “Each month, subscribers will receive a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Members can watch and play along with the stylists with the same products that they are using. All for only $10 a month.”
The packaging was quite pretty. It came in a dark pink package of course I threw it away before I could snap a photo but trust me it was cute!
What’s great about this sample pack is it comes in a cute makeup bag. I’m all about function so the fact that the package can be reused and recycles tickles my fancy.
The bag contained:
-Nailtini Nail Polish a fun gold glitter color properly named Millionaire
-The Balm Meet Matt(e) eyeshadow the color, Matt Batali
- Chella Eyebrow defining gel
-Starlet Cosmetics Intense Eyeliner, color: all i want it peace love & chocolate
-bareMinerals marvelous Moxie lip gloss color: daredevil
What I really liked about this bag was it makes sense. The entire bag was colors from a similar shade that could be worn together but could also make great separates. I’ve never tried an eyebrow gel before and it’s a noticeable difference. I’m excited when a product opens my eyes to something new! Eyeliner…. I’m in…. I always use them and will try any color at least once. My old college roommate (Hey Meg!) turned me on to them and now I would call them a staple of my makeup bag.
Moxie glosses are the best. I already own a few of them great color stay and not too sticky like some color glosses. I haven’t yet Met Matt(e) but I have some ideas of when I will be using him. Again the matt brown is a safe color for work but will also look great with a fabulous green dress I have. So we will be matt-ing soon.
For me the best part was the $20 off coupon for Justfab.com. I had seen an ad on Style net for it and had been meaning to check it out. This card pushed me over the edge and it’s a great site! Full of girlie eye candy. I found this bag and these shoes the best part all styles are just $39.95!!
Yes those flats have little skulls on them! A little rock and roll but still appropriate for all settings. And a yellow bucket bag. I just like that it looks like sunshine
What I liked about this bag was the focus of it. The invitation promised “party perfect” and that is exactly what I got. A complete set of makeup no random anti-aging creams, Lara bars or bath oils. For the $10 price tag I think IPSY is worth the money! You can sign up here.

So for those of you wondering out there all….hey Reneé remember this is a health and fitness blog?! I hear you! I happen to believe fashion and beauty is directly tied to healthy-living. that statement may or may not be true. And awkward seg way end…hey are you interested in staying fit this holiday season? I’m kicking my own butt this year to stay on target and I’ve stumbled upon a cute idea that can help you as well.
My love for Lindsay from The Lean Green Bean is often gushed about here. She is the blogger behind foodie pen pals and many of her posts just make me smile. What else could you want from a blog you stalk?
Now she is teaming up with Elle from Nutritionella for a series called Elf for Health! It’s a great program that helps you motivate others as they motivate you to stay fit this holiday!
