Last night was one of the rare nights when I get to spend an evening alone with my two little guys. My husband was working an evening shut down which afforded us some uninterrupted time to bond. It started off like most nights some TV, some reading and coloring. I gave the boys the option of going out to dinner.
I love when I ask my kids what they want to eat B wanted broccoli and a cheeseburger and R wanted Pizza no shocks there! I decided Chili’s was a pretty safe bet for all of us. I can get a guacamole burger with no bun and sweet potato fries. Plus they have all the cheeseburgers and pizza the boys could eat. After a slow but tasty dinner they boys were ready to go shopping? Seriously I hadn’t promised anything about shopping but they wanted to do one more thing. The night was early and I remembered there was a new Fo-Yo shop in town that we hadn’t yet visited. I thought why not?
It’s called Hoopla! And I realize I’m about 10 years late to this party since I’ve never seen a create your own sundae bar before. But OH MAN I’m a fan!
24 flavors of Frozen Yogurt varying from flavors like Birthday Cake, to Carmel salt to Pumpkin Pie. There was something for everyone. Of course on a Friday night the place was filled with high schoolers hanging out with their friends and a few families enjoying a nice treat out together.
We ended up sticking close to the basics for our first trip out. Strawberry with rainbow sprinkles for B and Dark Chocolate with rainbow sprinkles for R. Since I never know what my boys will eat I refrained for getting my own bowl for fear I would end up having to finish theirs as well.
That was a bad choice since the boys even after housing their dinners did the same damage on their Fo-Yo! ( I should mention it’s FRO-YO but my youngest called it Fo-Yo it stuck )
Yes the BOWLS are HUGE, and you could make some SERIOUS fo-yo magic in them. After sampling the boys tasty treats I’ve decided that there might be NO beating their dark chocolate with peanut butter. And next time we visit that will be my option maybe with some sprinkles too!
After Fo-Yo for All. We hit up Marshall’s so I could dream about getting this yoga mat and my children could look at Nerf guns for an hour. 😉
Seriously this Nike Yoga mat is the coolest thing ever! It’s got little holes in it for extra grip and the color was melting my inhibitions away. Sadly the price tag woke me back up to reality. I love it but couldn’t justify $35 bucks for it. So I did what any rational person does a took a picture to remember it…haha!
Also I know I’ve talked to so many folks lately about Foam Rolling and my love for my foam roller. I was excited to find some really nice rollers on clearance for just $15. If you are looking get to Marshall’s!
It was a pretty great evening with my two little men, we even got to watch the end of the Syracuse Basketball game. Let’s GO ORANGE!
I’ve got a short run planned today to get ready for my race 5k next weekend. And other than that I can be found for the next two days at hockey rinks and bowling alley’s across Upstate New York! More on that soon.
Questions of the Day: How was your Friday Night? What’s your favorite Fo-Yo topping?
