You guys are amazing and I have to tell you that, just in case I haven’t lately. After a blah yesterday I was blown away by your sweet comments and encouragement. I appreciate them all. We don’t all have great days but we can always help someone else have a better day. And you all did that for me yesterday.
Today was my reset day one. I made a killer protein smoothie for breakfast and of course had to drink it from my Boilermaker Cup. It makes everything taste better 😉
My recipe is simple. I’m using a sample protein packet I received a few weeks ago. I went with milk today because I’m all out of soy milk. The sample protein I used was Pure Matters it is a pea based which I thought was interesting. It’s vegan and Dairy, Gluten and GMO free with 130 calories and 25 grams of protein. Pretty tasty too.
Chocolate Banana Protein Shake:
1 Protein packet mix
1 Tablespoon Almond butter
8 ounces of cold liquid. (almond milk, milk, water)
After completing some mom/school activities this morning I ventured over to the new CrossFit gym in my area and signed up!

Goodbye pretty hands, it’s been nice knowing you. I would like to thank Jen From Wine to Weightlifting for the push over the crossfit edge. She is pretty fabulous over there and wrote almost my exact thoughts on these new dietbet trends.
I will be starting these workouts next week and can’t wait to share how they go. My hope is for more definition and obviously more weight loss.
To coincide with my jump into Crossfit I also just ordered the Book It Starts With Food about the whole30 movement. I’m not sure it’s for me but I’m looking to shake thing up so why not try it? It’s just 30 days right? (fingers crossed, dear God don’t let me starve!)
I’m feeling so trendy today. Don’t worry I’m still a runner/foodie at heart. Nothing will change there. I’m just shakin’ it up and seeing what also might work for me.
