This week is going to be a HOT one!
Need a healthier way to cool down on a hot day or after a great workout? Make your own healthy frozen treats.
First things first! Today I had three workouts. I walked 1.5 miles on my lunch, it was such a beautiful day I couldn’t just sit inside! Then after work I got in a 5k run on the treadmill which was just a hot and sweaty mess. Then I did a quick ab workout. Phewwww…. I’m tired just typing all that out but every little bit counts! Afterwords I celebrated with one of these great yogurt pops I made yesterday.
They are perfect for adults and kids, and the best part they are SUPER easy!
FROZEN GREEK YOGURT POPS:
1 container strawberry or vanilla greek yogurt
fresh fruit one handful (I’m using blueberries)
a pinch of sugar
2 tablespoons almond or soy milk
1 popsicle maker
Mix ingredients together and carefully pour into your popsicle maker and freeze over night. Then ENJOY!
If frozen yogurt isn’t your thing try a quick frozen strawberry smoothie!
FROZEN STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE:
1 cup cut fresh strawberries
1 1/2 cups of ice
1 tablespoon chia seeds
a pinch of sugar for sweetness
Mix ingredients together in the blender. It takes a little bit to get the ice crushed up properly but have patience, then pour a glass and enjoy!
What’s your favorite way to cool down in the summer?
