Chef Renee and a birthday

Good Morning! Let me fill you in on what went on around here yesterday! But first coffee me!

I’m loving my new HUGE coffee mug…nothing like a half-gallon of coffee you can call one cup.

It was a busy one around these parts. My to-do list was six miles long and it felt good to cross a few items off the list this morning. I spent the afternoon being a kitchen queen. There was endless amounts of chopping, roasting and culinary creation bursting from my little corner of the world.

I’ll tease you with some photos and maybe even a recipe or two this week. I really was just winging things today. Sometimes my favorite way to cook is to just play with things and see what happens.

There was also some baking being planned but I don’t have any pictures of those adventures.

I completed 5 miles of running and my plank a day. And my gym wasn’t even that packed!

Mind you this was a picture of my gym at 9am in early December….

I was all alone.  You can make out two older gentlemen talking to each other but other than that this place was a ghost town. And yesterday it wasn’t much more full than this! I was sooo excited!

Thank you SO much to Amalia at Live Travel Eat and Run for naming me in her blog list! You should also give her a check out. She was my very first Elf4health and did a stellar job!

I’ll be prepping all day today for my little guy’s THIRD birthday! I can’t believe it’s been three years where does the time go? This photo seems just like it was last week.

Have a great Friday!

Wow that pasta dish looks outstanding. What do you use for a cream sauce?

Happy Birthday to your little one.
I was at the gym last night and it was a big of a ghost town. The room I was in has a bunch of cardio machines and I was about 1/2 way through a run on the treadmill. And a guy came in and worked out on the elliptical right next to me! That’s a bit of a pet-peeve of mine. I always try to leave a machine between me and another person!

I hate that too! I always give a buffer machine so we aren’t on top of each other! Happy 2013.
