Summer has arrived and there is nothing I like more than getting outside to sweat it up!
I love my exercise ball. I used to think it was just a one trick pony. I would use it for an added degree of difficulty crunches. It often ended up jammed into a corner or as added entertainment for my boys. As my P90X classes have gotten more difficult I’m always interested to see how often we use the ball! Even for small movements, what a difference it can make.
Here are some of my favorite moves:
Static hold with your feet on the ball.
Pike Roll Ups:
You can also bring in to your knees.
These sound easy enough until you are trying to balance on the ball while moving! My ball also needs some air as you can tell! haha!
Oh hello back and abs..you’re about to be engaged. These aren’t a big motion but are enough to give you a burn!
I have to thank my oldest for being my photographer! He was pretty good and earned his $2 fee 😉
Give them a try. You can also incorporate these moves into a HIIT workout.
:20 work :10 break with a one minute rest in between sets.Complete the circuit. If you want some added umph add in :20 of crunches.
It would look like this:
- Pike Roll Ups
- Mountain Climbers
Repeat the Cycle 5 times with a one minute break in between sets. It’s a 15 minute workout sure to get your heart pumping in the sunshine!
**I’m not a doctor and I don’t play one on TV, please consult with a physician before starting a new excercise routine. I’m sharing with you moves that I’m currently enjoying but every body is different.**
Question of the Day: What’s your favorite way to get sweaty outside? Favorite exercise ball move?
