Hello, oh fall how I love you! The weather here had been amazing and I’m seriously enjoying these days dreading the winter I know is right around the corner.
I recently had a woman ask me what the heck that ball is used for? I was confused but quickly realized she was asking about the Bosu Balls that were piled up in the corner of our room.
I will admit they do look rather odd when you first see them:
I started explaining some different movements and ideas for how to use the ball within a workout and thought you might enjoy the ideas as well!
I really like the Bosu ball for an added degree of balance and along with strength.
Starting out here is a set of movements you can complete with the Bosu Ball. These movements come together well in a Tabata workout with a :45 work and :20 rest.
Be very careful stepping up onto the ball. I find it best to step on with one foot then slowly add-on the other foot and get stable. Balance will come into play here as your entire body tries to stabilize as you drop it like a squat 😉
You can also add the Bosu into ab workouts. Using them for crunches, popcorn pop ups and obliques.
Speaking of fall, thank you to each and every one of you who gave me some great ideas for what to make with all the apples we have left over! If you haven’t joined me on facebook yet what are you waiting for?
Last night I tried this super easy and delicious recipe from Wellness Mama. Apple, Bacon, BBQ chicken OMG…It was amazing! I know why she doesn’t have any pictures of it and it’s GONE once it’s done. It’s also great because it can be made Paleo!
I will be busy in the kitchen today creating some of the great recipes and ideas you sent my way! I can’t wait to show you what we create.
Question of the Day: Do you use Bosu Balls in your workouts?
