Guess What?
I’m pretty excited for the weekend and not even because I have plans I’m just excited to see all my loves together for two full days. It’s been crazy around here this week and I’m looking forward to some chill downtime.
Sadly this morning my son was rushed into emergency surgery to fix some issues with his surgery from last week. It’s really the first time in all of his surgeries we’ve ever had a problem. And hopefully it’s the last time we have an issue fingers crossed. I need a mental vacation just a day of rest from the 5000 worries and deadlines and needs of the day.
Exercise is always a great release for me so I’m planning on getting in a long-ish treadmill run tonight. I’m hoping for 10 we’ll see how it happens. Dreadmill running is sooooo boring. And I’m not a comfortable darkness runner. Do any of you run outside in the dark? I’ve always thought about trying it but there is something that screams Danger Ranger to me. Safety first…. run when people can see you!
Today was the first chance I’ve had to dive into my Klutch box from last month! February’s box was all about immunity.
It was a pretty sweet month from them. I love Drink Chia! We all know I have an inner love for chia seeds and their delicious goodness. I was curious to try out the immuno gum. A gum that offers your immunity a boost…I’ll give it a try. But wow weeee they tasted like eating a berry flavored cough drop so I hope the results of the gum were instant because three chews in I had to get rid of it!
There was a gift certificate for Khataland Yoga Mats and I’ve been hearing a lot about them so it may be time to try out a new mat. My yoga sessions have been increasing and they really do help me stretch out after runs. They also have some great in the shop with fun colors I’m checking out as well.
The Honest Tea was pretty good and something I’ll have to check out at my stores. I haven’t yet tried out the Allergease…I don’t have known allergies and I’m not really sure that my histamine levels need to be kept in check but I have a good friend with really bad allergies so I’m going to let her try it out. She’s a better fit for it.
I have a hilarious story about the Vita Perk! It should go without saying I’m not exactly an instruction follower in any area of my life…I like to fly by the seat of my pants and figure it out as I go. Keep that in mind for this story
I thought it was an instant coffee with vitamins in it. I heated up my cup of water opened the package and poured it in. As I did it I thought to myself WOW this smells nothing like coffee, that’s kinda cool and probably great for pregnant ladies with smell aversions. I stirred it up and took one sip in disgust. ONLY then did I read the real instructions which CLEARLY state you should mix the package into your favorite cup of coffee!!
ughhhhhhhh……. Universe: 1 Renee: 0. Totally my own fault but the look on my children’s face as I almost turned green in one sip was hilarious. Once tried with COFFEE they were much better.
The clean wipes have been a great addition to my mom bag. After the bounce house they came in very handy!
March’s Box looks like another good one! Interested in signing up or learning more click on the image below of details.

I hope everyone is having a much better day than my family currently is. I’m back to mommy cuddle duty.
Question of the day: How do you boost your immunity?
My answer is always diet and exercise!

I hope your son is OK.
What brand is the fig bar in the picture?
Boosting immunity–greens and citrus. I’m convinced that I haven’t been sick this winter (knock-on-wood) because I’ve been eating a lot of spinach, kale, oranges, and drinking a lot of H2O.
Hey Nicole, he is doing well now! I’m with you on the greens the more I eat the better I feel. The Fig Bar is from Nature’s Bakery. It’s still sitting here waiting to be devoured!
Let me know if you want to get together for a run sometime!
I’m all about new running partners! Thanks Carrie
