Without my permission it would seem that back to school is upon us. Yesterday we hit up the mall to shop for the dreaded sneaker search and pick up some goodies for the soon to be 1st grader. After 4 shoe stores we found a pair that passed the picky kid test and were in my budget. I may have also hit up the Reebok outlet (maybe) 😉
I love a good deal and a $9 sports bra I couldn’t pass up! The shirt was $17 but both are super bright and fun! Have no fear, I will never get lost running!
Secretly although I do not want summer to end, I am looking forward to getting back a routine. My youngest starts pre-school in the fall so both children will be otherwise entertained for a few hours a day, freeing mommy up for my own scheduling!
This was the first week of summer with no lax, no hockey and no camps. It’s been a blessing with no 8am frantic escapes from the house but it’s also been really hard for me to get in workouts. Monday I enjoyed a half hour of yoga and yesterday I squeezed in a 4 mile run and weights but it’s not my usual speed. With college kids all heading back to school I’ve also been subbing for quite a few water classes which I love but means I haven’t been able to be at my foundations of Crossfit classes either.
Today I decided I needed to put together a workout that would fill the void of my normal routine. I came up with an arm exercise I hope you can use too.
I alternate between 8 pound and 15 pound weights. (15 is more for the bicep curls) Use weights you are comfortable with, and for the push ups on your knees are just as effective as toes.
