Scream it from the mountain tops P90X Starts TODAY! This poster perfectly displays my feelings:
I’m mentally preparing myself for a week of soreness along with moments of tears. OK it’s not that bad but the first week is intense.
I arrived early and was excited to see so many former P90xers and new faces! Especially at a 9:30am class! Mind you this is a little over half the class there is an entire row behind me. Everyone is getting fall fabulous!
We started off with a fitness test and quickly moved into our first cardio workout. I think my legs
have amnesia may have forgotten how much they WORK in these classes! It’s a lot like childbirth I guess…you forget the pain. 😉
It was a great first day and I can’t wait to get to know more of the people in the classes. We really do become a pretty tight family by the end.
I forgot to take a picture after the class…just imagine a red sweaty mess with a bad pony tail. I hit the elliptical after class for a nice 1 mile cool down. My legs are really tight this week and I’m trying to keep them loose. I’m feeling a foam roller session this evening as well.
Starting P90x also means a much stricter clean eating pattern for me. I’ve been pretty lazy lately with healthy eating. There were a few cupcakes this weekend and more fries than I care to admit.
Breakfast was 4 scrambled eggs with jalapeno. I also had 3 of those mini white donuts with the boys at the crack of dawn.
Lunch was a lot of snacking, some cheese and this pretty platter:
Seriously can we talk for a minute about my obsession with sparkling water? It’s becoming an issue. No worries though…I also treated myself to a new camelbak to celebrate the big day! Hydrate Hydrate!
