This Sunday marked the end of my oldest son’s birthday month. All joking aside, I have now been to and planned out at least 3 birthday celebrations for the little man!
It’s a rough life. This was to be the last, or at least I hope. You may only turn 6 once but this might be getting out of hand, a friend party, a school party, a family party, and a joint uncle/nephew birthday party.
I was spent from the cakes, cupcakes and cookie cakes of the last few parties and decided to try a new delicious recipe for the big day.
Super quick and easy Peanut Butter Pies.
Peanut Butter Pie:
1- Store bought 8″ Oreo Pie Crust
1 Cup of heavy Cream
4 oz of softened cream cheese
3/4 Cup Peanut Butter
Chocolate sauce for drizzle
1. In a large mixing bowl blend the cream cheese, peanut butter and 1/2 cup of heavy cream.
2. Once blended add in the rest of the heavy cream. Adding the heavy cream all in at once makes it difficult to blend together well and leaves clumps of cream cheese.
3. Open your pie crust add your peanut butter filling to the crust and freeze for 1 hour to set.
4. Before you serve let the pie sit out on the counter to soften up for 15 minutes, drizzle on the chocolate sauce and enjoy!
This recipe is super easy and is a crowd favorite in our household!
The party was a success as was the pie!
Question of the day: How was your weekend? What’s your favorite pie?
