I feel like I’ve been neglecting you and I promise it wasn’t on purpose. Over the holiday weekend we visited my sister and her family at their new house! It was nice to get away from the grind for a weekend since the Wifi and cell reception was less than stellar at the new place. Without meaning to I was forced into an unplug. As my phone searched for a signal it just killed the battery it was a losing situation.
Instead we enjoyed some fun family festivities.
There was hiking:
Ball Room Dancing.
A Syracuse Basketball Game and other fun!
My brother is home for a visit from China and he brought us some fun treats. This “alcohol” tasted like a combination of urine and gasoline and that’s being kind. The bottle was pretty though!
After the bunny came and I ate wayyyyy more than I should have. ( I took FULL advantage of that other people cooking thing!) We headed back home. I like to use Sunday’s for planning out my week. AGAIN this weekend that didn’t happen, but family time was much more enjoyable
I hope you enjoyed your weekend!
My oldest is off from school AGAIN this week…I feel like they just had a week off? I enjoy the extra time with him but the two boys both at home all day long when it’s still winter out is tough on mommy’s sanity. SPRING I NEED YOU!
This morning after some generous sleeping in (for my boys) I took them to enjoy the pool at Y. Mother Nature is having a bit of an identity crisis around here. She missed that this is APRIL break I expected 50 degrees… not snowflakes! It was fun for them and a sort of second workout for me.
I had hit the pool earlier and clocked a little over a mile and a half. The highlight of my swim was the 7:50 500 m swim. That’s not crazy fast but just the fact it was under 8 minutes made me happy. And seeing that last month I clocked 60 running miles! I remember when just getting to 40 was a challenge.
Proof that kicking it up and picking it up won’t kill you! It’s a Kick Up, Pick Up!
Other proof my children are both home from school this week…it’s 8pm and I’m going to bed! Old lady problems. My son I promised I would take skating at 8:30am and I need to get in 6 miles before then. Early to bed and early to rise keeps a man healthy, wealthy and wise. I have no idea if that is true but it sounds good to me!
Question of the Day: What is your normal bed time?
